So yesterday I found a tutorial on how to create "roughed up" edges. If you're like me and don't yet have the luxury of CS3 (it will come with time), you'll just have to do without the smart filters. You can just apply the filter directly to the layer, but you won't be able to edit it afterwards (which is a pain). Either way, this little tip has saved me time, I used to manually texture all of the edges on my artwork (seriously) and it would never look this good. Every time I think I have Photoshop figured out I realize that there is so much more to learn. The images are examples of how I used the tutorial, they are from a design I did today for a friend who had heart problems earlier this year.
I'm a father and a husband to the most beautiful girls in the world, I'm a also an artist and musician. I love life, hard work, making art, making music, and the lessons that I've yet to learn.
